Fresh approach to school mental health

6 December, 2014

The Department of Education has just announced new actions to support pupils' mental health.
Mental health is at the centre of a new vision for schools set out by Childcare Education Minister, Sam Gyimah.
The Government will now be working with the PSHE Association to help schools know how to teach pupils about mental health and banish the stigma, which can leave young people feeling isolated.
This is very encouraging news and the Trust continues to support the Partnership for Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health in Schools, which aims to inspire schools to place emotional wellbeing and good mental health at the heart of their ethos, culture and activities, in order to support student achievement.
