Sarah Wallaston, MP, Chair of the Health and Social Care Select Committee, raised a question in the House of Commons recently about information sharing and patient confidentiality and made reference to The Matthew Elvidge Trust. Please view the short video on Twitter here.
She was raising the importance of involving family or trusted others in peoples' assessment, treatment and care, whenever this is judged to be supportive and helpful, as well as using the right words to seek consent.
Thank you Sarah for all the support that your Committee has given to suicide prevention and bereavement support.
